Alexander Faries

May 15, 1841–May 22, 1916

Worshipful Brother Alexander Faries (first Master of the Lodge, Master in 1905, 1906, and 1908) was born in Giles, Tennessee, on May 15, 1841 to William N. and Mary Faries. Alexander married Dora Caston Faries and had six children. He served in the Co. F. 3rd Cavalry Battalion in the First Missouri Volunteers in the Confederate Army and was the mayor of Cleveland in 1903 and 1909. He passed away on May 22, 1916 in Cleveland and is buried in the Old Cleveland Cemetery.
